The Local Box is the only basket you can't customize - it's a selection of super fresh, all local and sustainably grown produce straight from local farms. Contents rotate weekly and sometimes even daily! We'll send a list of what you've got and where it came from, along with recipe ideas for using all the local goodness you'll receive that week.

Local Box contents (right side above) are updated each Friday to represent the following week's box. The photo (left side above) is updated each Tuesday to represent that current week's box. We know what we'll have on Friday, but the food doesn't arrive until the next week for maximum freshness. The contents listed now are just an example of our typical Local Box contents. Check back on February 1st to find out which specific items and farms will be included in our first Greenling Houston Local Box!

Don't be intimidated! Everyone can enjoy a different box each week of fresh, in-season fruits and veggies. Here's an easy way to tackle it:

The Local Box contents change every week and sometimes every day. You're getting only the best local, in-season produce each week! You can add items to your order a la carte to get exactly the groceries you need. However, you can't remove or change the contents of the The Local Box.

2Order it Weekly, Bi-weekly, or just Occasionally

No commitments, upfront fees, or contracts. Just get one anytime you like!

3Use Recipes in the Box or Check out our Newsletter or Blog

Not sure what to do with the items...or even what they are? Don't worry, we include a page full of recipes for every item right in the box. We also post pictures, videos and recipes on Facebook, Twitter and our Eating Out of the Local Box Blog. If you're truly stumped, you can always call Greenling customer service and we'll  help you identify the Local Box contents over the phone.
