Helping the Community

Every year, Greenling team members come together outside of the workplace to help improve and maintain our wonderful community. From participating in the Keep Austin Beautiful Clean Sweep to volunteering at the Capital Area Food Bank, we are dedicated to giving back to Central Texas in any way we can.

Aside from group volunteer activities, we support other community efforts like fund-raisers for schools, charities and other farm-based events. We even give free baskets to new moms on the Austin Mama list-serve!

We're happy to be a member of Texas Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (www.TOFGA.org).  This great organization has education at the center of its mission.  It's aim is to help farmers go Organic.  We need more Organic farmer's in Texas, no doubt about it.  TOFGA holds all sorts of events and conferences to show farmers and the public how to grow Organically in Texas.  Thanks TOFGA!

We're also a member of the Organic Trade Association (www.OTA.com).  This organization has some amazing people in it and fights tirelessly to protect and maintain Organic standards in the federal government.  Did you know that there have been no changes to the original Organic rules adopted in 2002, except to strengthen them? They have come under attack many times and some people think they have been diluted, but they haven't. And the OTA is a big reason why.

Local businesses play such an important role in our community and we are always excited to learn of new ways to give back. If you have any volunteer ideas, or would like to become a Greenling volunteer yourself, please contact us through our......contact us page.

We have a Kiva team, in case you're interested in grouping with us to fund entrepreneurs all over the world with micr-loans - Just go sign up with Kiva, join our team, and see who we're lending to or find people we should lend to - Kiva Team
