[Central TX] Food & Sustainability Events, July 23-29

We were putting together a wonderful Local Box together this week, when we were hit with the sad news that our Farmer Heroes at The Daily Harvest will be closing their creamery. It shows how hard it can be to run a food operation here in Texas and how farming is a great skill. For this week’s events, we hope you get out there and learn more about your food, with perhaps, a cooking class, a farmer’s camp, a bakery benefit, and talk to people growing our food at the new farmers market in San Antonio.

Got an event for us? Send it our way at sprout@greenling.com

About Asiago

Hola a todos! Me llamo Asiago. I am a recent graduate in Latin American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. I am quite lucky in that hablo español and falo português! During my college years, I've traveled to several countries and realized that food is what connects us all around the globe. I believe that food should be accessible for all humanity. It doesn't matter if you at a street stand munchin' down Tacos al Pastor in Mexico City or sipping on a Brazilian Capirinha on Copacabana beach, we all have a relationship with food and working for Greenling I get to improve food access for my local community!
